PHRASAL VERB
Definition
A Phrasal verb is a phrase consisting of a verb and a preposition
or particle that form a single unit and have a different meaning than a single
verb. Phrasal verbs are often confusing for English learners because they have
many meanings and are used in different contexts.
A phrasal is a combination of a verb and a particle. Then it
becomes a prepositional form but does not worklike a preposition.
Example Of Phrasal Verb
- Log in "After you log in you can access the data."
- Log out "After your lesson, log out so your information remains private."
- Slip-on "Jess slips on her shoes before she goes outside."
- Slip off "She quickly slips off her shoes every time she goes inside the house."
