Adjective endings are endings that are
applied to adjectives in English to modify or explain a noun or pronoun.
Adjective endings help to indicate the qualities, characteristics, or feelings
of a noun or pronoun. There are two types of adjective endings, - ing and-ed,
which have different roles and functions in modifying nouns and pronouns.
Types And Example Of Adjective
Ending -Ind And -Ed
1. Adjective Ending-ing
- ing is used to indicate an adjective that describes an action or an ongoing process. Adjective subject is an object
Example: the running girl is sweating.
2. Adjective Ending-ed
- ed is used to indicate an
adjective that describes an action or feeling that has occurred. The Adjective
subject is the person
Example: the tired girl
went to bed early.
Both types of adjective
endings have an important role in forming sentences and modifying nouns and
pronouns.
